i HATE snow.

...wow...27 HOURS...in a car...with my sister...just trying to get home in time for christmas...i've NEVER in my life been so HAPPY to see the "Welcome to BLYTHEVILLE" sign.

i was originally supposed to leave wednesday, but it snowed, so my mom told me not to.  she called the next day and told me the roads were cleared.  we left fayetteville thursday afternoon around 12:30...finally got in today, christmas eve, around 3:30.  my sister drove the whole way, there was no way I was getting behind the wheel.  traffic was a nightmare. the roads where iced over half the time.  cars and big semis all over the road, in the median, EVERYWHERE.  the bathroom line at the gas station...AT LEAST 30 people in front of me.  SILLY ME, i didn't get food when we stopped because it was only 7:00 PM, and, theoretically, we were only 15 minutes away from little rock, where we planned to spend the night. that 15 minutes turned into 11 hours.  i think we were at a standstill for at least 4 hours.  we didn't pass through little rock until 6:00 AM so there was no need to spend the night.  we stopped at another gas station where my sister napped for about 30 minutes, and i ate a footlong sub in less than 10 minutes.  the rest of the trip, until we hit memphis, consisted of continuous long stops where we just parked the car or barely creeped along for at most 2 feet at a time.  the last 45 minutes was smooth, all else considered.

i swear..our place gets smaller n smaller every weekend...
